The lifeblood of Confederazione Veneziana is its people, their ideas and their commitment to CV's mission.

The 2007 annual Membership Meeting of Confederazione Veneziana has confirmed the following positions:

Dr. AnnaMaria Giro is the President of Confederazione Veneziana, and the President of the Cantonal Chapter in Padua.

Formerly a professor in mathematics and a professional accountant, she took early retirement in order to dedicate herself full-time to battling for institutional changes in the Venices (North-east Italy). Founding Member and President of Confederazione Veneziana since its inception, she has also been President of two SME trade unions: L.L.I.D. and L.I.F.E. - both famous for their fight against inefficiency and corruption in italian government institutions.

AnnaMaria has always campaigned on issues close to people's hearts - crime, corruption, illegal immigration, taxes, education, health - with a blunt and aggressive style alien to politicians. Main public figure of Confederazione Veneziana, she is often a guest on Venetian, Italian and international TV shows (Costanzo, Santoro, Lerner), news broadcasts (RAI1 and N.P.R.) and Radio programmes. AnnaMaria holds a degree in Economics and Business. She is fluent in Venetian and Italian, and speaks conversational English.

Mr. Luciano Piva is the Vice-president of Confederazione Veneziana. He is also the Vice-President of the Cantonal Chapter in Treviso (of which he is a Founding Member) and the current Director of the Venetian Heritage Society.
Luciano is the founder and main owner of a firm producing plastic materials. He has been local City Councillor in Vidor (Treviso), and Provincial Councillor of ACAI (a SMEs trade union). He speaks fluent Venetian and Italian, and conversational French.

Ing. Giampietro Lea is Chief Operating Officer of Confederazione Veneziana (of which he is a Founding Member). He is the President of the Cantonal Chapter in London and he is also the founder of the Venezie Institute, of which he has been the Director since its inception.
Fluent in Venetian, English and Italian, he speaks Polish and Swedish at conversational level. For several years he served as an Officer in the italian Carabinieri police force. He holds a Degree and a Master in Structural Engineering, a Master in Business Administration (MBA), and is currently studying Economics at L.S.E. (London).

Ing. Paolo Zamparo is a Member of the Macro-regional Board of Confederazione Veneziana, of which he is a Founding Member. He is also the Vice-President of the Cantonal Chapter in Padua.
Paolo holds a degree in structural engineering. Fluent in Venetian, Italian and German, he also speaks conversational English.

Mrs. Minerva Barbiero is a Member of the Cantonal Board of Directors in Padua. She is a Founding Member of Confederazione Veneziana.
