Confederazione Veneziana's overall strategy is to address the issue of institutional changes and heritage protection through raising public awareness. It is in this spirit that CV organizes public events such as debates, conferences, seminars and lectures.

Events are organized jointly with other research organizations, with academic and professional institutions, or with leading newspapers and magazines. Some events will be planned to coincide with the release of publications prepared by our research units. Speakers will generally include well known figures in the fields of science and arts - scientists, writers, engineers, journalists, historians, politicians, artists and academics.

Prof Jose Pinera - the architect of the world-famous Chilean pension reform - will be in Padua (VENICES) on Saturday 10th of May 2008.
Prof Pinera will be explaining to the public how his social security system is structured and how he managed to implement it without increasing taxes or reducing benefits.
