allow us to say how delighted we are that you are considering joining us.
Membership however is not open to everybody. We will make no distinction based on nationality, race, sex, age, physical conditions, ethnic origins, religious or political beliefs. But we will only accept individuals who strongly believe in CV's mission and whose personal code of conduct reflects the organisation's core values of laboriosity, reliability and integrity. We don't care so much about skills, but we care about "culture".

It is crucial to be strict about the kind of people who are brought into Confederazione Veneziana - if the people are right the organisation will thrive.
We now see ethics and attitude as the critical factors in our member recruitment decisions. Skills are also important, but we put them second as most skills can be assimilated or developed by someone with the right attitude and with an interest in what they are doing.

Are we being fussy? Yes, we are asking a lot of our potential members but also the task we have set ourselves is quite hard. However, if you care about the ideas and principles that motivated our Venetian Forefathers, share CV's commitment to see institutions in the Venices* shaped by these principles and values, and believe you fill our membership requirements then we are waiting to hear from you!

N.B. The Macro-regional Board of Directors shall decide, in its absolute discretion, whether or not to approve an application for membership. The Board is not obliged to disclose the reasons for its decision.

(*) For the purpose of CV's work, the words "Venices", "Venetia" and "Northeast Italy" are interchangeable, and are taken as meaning the historical Venices within Northern Italy - i.e. the current italian regions of Venezia Tridentina-Sud Tirol/Alto Adige, Venezia Euganea, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the current provinces of Bergamo, Brescia, Cremona (i.e Venezia Orobica), and Mantua.
