Membership Benefits

1. Biannual newsletter - "Impact" - containing an overview of news and events of interest to members; educational and general articles; description of research projects and summaries of institutional proposals; programmes of forthcoming events; members' contributions - articles, opinions, proposals and comments.
2. Invitation to all of CV Events (except Special Events and Private Receptions) with access to priority booking, discounted tickets and preferential allocation of seats.
3. Continuing Education classes - access to in-house training courses (computer skills, languages, basic accounting).
4. Reference access to all of CV's publications: research papers, authorized translations, sponsored and joint research projects, institutional proposals.
5. Use of Confederazione Veneziana's library, with access to reference material, books, magazines and newspapers.
6. Use of Confederazione Veneziana's video-library, with possibility of borrowing English-language video cassettes free of charge.
7. Discounts on the whole range of CV's publications and products.

Membership Categories

Normal Membership

• Basic Membership is €30 a year. You will receive all basic membership benefits as seen above.
  
  
• Companion of Confederazione Veneziana is €60 a year. In addition to Basic Membership benefits, you will receive CV's distinctive blue T-shirt (see photograph).
  
  
• Friend of Confederazione Veneziana is €150 a year. You receive all benefits of a Companion, plus a choice of two books amongst some selected titles.
  
  
• Defender of Confederazione Veneziana is €300 a year. In addition to the benefits of a Friend, you will receive all publications produced annually by CV.
  
  
• Promoter is €600 a year. In addition to all the benefits seen above, you will receive a distinguished certificate on parchment paper to commemorate your very special contribution to Confederazione Veneziana. In addition, you will be invited to two Special Events a year.
  
  
• Benefactor is €1200 a year. Benefactors receive all benefits of a Promoter, plus invitations to the most important Special Events. These events serve as a great opportunity to hear well-known and respected speakers in the fields of industry, science and arts.
  
  
• Patron is €2400 (and above) a year. Membership includes all privileges of a Benefactor, plus invitations to all Special Events.

Senior and Student Membership
If you are a full-time Student, a Young person (<21), a Senior citizen (60+), and/or physically disadvantaged, then all normal membership fees (as seen above) will be reduced by 33%.

Life Membership
For Senior citizens the amount is equal to five times your chosen membership fee. For all other applicants the amount is equal to your chosen membership fee multiplied by your age factor (where age factor = 65 minus your current age, up to a maximum value of 15).

Additional Members
For additional members living at your same address their chosen membership fee will be reduced by 20%.

Child Membership
Children under 13 receive Basic Membership for FREE. All other levels of membership will be reduced by 66%.

Group Discounts
• Every three, one third less - get two of your friends or relatives to join and you get 33% discount.
• Every 6 one free - get five of your friends or relatives to join and you get FREE membership.

Application Procedure

Once completed, return the "Membership Form" to us together with payment for your chosen Membership Category. On receipt of your Application Form we will contact you to confirm its arrival. All applications are then examined by the Board of Directors. In the unlikely event that your application is not successful, your payment will be returned to you in full.

Payment may be made either by Cash, Cheque / Postal Order or by Bank Transfer directly into Confederazione Veneziana's account:

If you are outside the UK or Italy the preferred method for your payment would be by bank transfer. Please do not send us Cheques/Postal Orders if there are other procedures available as this will incur high banking fees to us.

N.B. We used to offer a No-Risk Guarantee to all new members, whereby an individual would obtain a full refund if s/he cancelled her/his membership within the first 30 days. If canceling after 30 days s/he would have been refunded the unexpired portion of the membership fee. However, italian law does not allow a nonprofit to refund the membership fee.
Therefore, we are forced by italian(!) law to discontinue our No-Risk Guarantee - on the contrary we would be stripped of our nonprofit status straight away !!!
